If you've had need to do regularly scheduled backups of your MySQL databases and would like to do them from your desktop, then this is the tool for you.

The MySQL Administrator actually allows total control over a MySQL installation, IF you have rights to it.  If you don't have rights to the whole server, no worries, you can administer the parts that you do have rights to - like making backup copies of your data.  It's also a good tool for restoring from backup and can get you past the import size limits of the MyPHPAdmin interface in hosted envronments.
